About MeshVault

MeshVault is run by Tanner Osterkamp, one operator at The Fire Dev LLC, a California single-member LLC doing business as MeshVault.

One person runs MeshVault.

Tanner Osterkamp runs MeshVault. It is one person, not a support desk. MeshVault works where your server sits and takes on few clients at a time.

Five rules shape the work.

  1. You own it.

The server, files and memory belong to you. If you leave, you keep them.

  2. Server first, AI second.

Set up files, records and backups before AI.

  3. A named person approves.

Sends, payments, posts and access changes each need a yes from someone with a name.

  4. Read first.

Connectors start read-only, one approved job at a time.

  5. Say what we do not know.

Unknowns should stay visible so you can judge the work.

You keep what is yours.

You own the hardware, files and memory. MeshVault's exit promise is that you keep them if you leave. A backup counts only after a restore test, with you watching.

Hermes Desktop is open-source software from Nous Research. MeshVault installs it, pins its version and pairs it to your server. It is not MeshVault's product and is not Anthropic software.

Here is where we stand.

State as of

Early stage
MeshVault has no paying install clients.
Pre-release
The iPhone app is TestFlight invite only. There is no App Store listing or release date.
Not for sale
Monthly software plans are not open for purchase. The client contract is a draft with counsel.
iPhone only
The iPhone waitlist is the only waitlist. There is no Mac app or Mac waitlist.

Our view: Wait if the risks of an early-stage company or a pre-release app are too high for you today. We would rather lose a sale than surprise you.

A fit for a specific shop.

MeshVault is for owner-run businesses with 5 to 50 people, no IT staff, and data spread across email, shared drives, phones and apps.

It is not a fit today for solo businesses where one laptop holds everything, businesses that expect round-the-clock support, or anyone who needs a Mac app.

MeshVault declines healthcare, legal and financial-advice clients for now.
