The short version
Getting started
Open the app. To look around first, tap Try the demo. It uses invented sample data and needs no server.
To use your own server, enter its HTTPS address, for example
deck.example.com:10443. A typed address with no scheme is read as HTTPS. Addresses that start withhttp://are rejected.Enter your access token and tap Open deck. The app uses the token once to sign in.
The dashboard opens full screen, in either orientation. Pull down, or double tap with two fingers, to reload.
The app does not include a server. Your server's operator controls the dashboard, its availability and who has access. A server on a private network needs your phone to reach that network, for example through your VPN.
Free and Pro
- Free. One saved server. You can replace it at any time without buying anything.
- Pro. Omarchy Deck Pro is a one-time purchase through the App Store. It adds multiple saved servers and switching between them. Apple shows the price in your currency before you buy. The purchase options appear once a server is selected.
- Restore purchases. Checks your Apple Account for an earlier Pro purchase. A pending or cancelled purchase does not unlock Pro.
- If Pro is revoked. Your other saved servers lock, and their addresses and sessions are kept. The current server keeps working in the free version.
Payment problems or refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. You can also email us.
Connection problems
- "Check your connection" screen. The phone cannot reach your server. Check that the server is running and that your phone is on the right network or VPN, then tap Retry. When the server answers again, a "Deck is back" banner appears. Tap Reconnect to reopen the dashboard.
- Sign in again. If the server no longer accepts your session, tap Sign in again and enter a current token. Your server's operator can issue one.
- Certificate or HTTPS errors. The app only opens HTTPS servers and shows TLS errors instead of hiding them. Ask your server's operator to check the server's certificate.
- Local network. If iOS asked for local network access and you said no, turn it on in Settings, Privacy & Security, Local Network.
Using the deck
- Several servers. Each saved server keeps its own sign-in, apart from the others. Removing a saved server deletes its stored web data. Signing out clears the selected server only.
- Links and images from other sites. Links that lead away from your server open in Safari. Images and embedded content hosted on other sites do not load inside the deck.
- Empty or wrong dashboard. The dashboard is your server's page, not the app's. If it shows nothing or the wrong thing, ask your server's operator.
- Screen. The app keeps the screen on while it is open.
Apple Watch
The Apple Watch app offers Play / Pause, Toggle Mute and Lock Screen for the selected server. It asks you to confirm each action. Actions are greyed out when the iPhone cannot be reached, so keep the iPhone nearby with Omarchy Deck installed. Your server must support these actions for them to work.
